Giants Analysis: The better evil
The Giants might be sitting at 4th in the National League West conference, however there has been some flashes of brilliance within their roster. Michael Conforto not only holds the top spot in hitting for the Giants, boasting an impressive .298 average, but he also serves as their primary catalyst, having hit 4 home runs and driving in 13 runs.
Right beside Conforto we have Jorge Soler, who has a batting average of .228, including 4 doubles, 3 home runs, and 10 walks. This season, Soler ranks 32nd in home runs and 158th in RBI among all major league batters. Even if it doesn’t look like much, he is an excellent secondary option for the Giants.
Marlins Analysis: Dead last
It has been a season to forget for the Marlins, as they currently stand dead last in the National League East conference, thanks to their 3-13 record. Within their ranks there is one member that stands out, Jake Burger leads the team with 3 home runs and has contributed to 15 runs batted in. Burger is positioned 32nd in home runs and 7th in RBIs compared to all other hitters in the major leagues, which is definitely something to remember.
Outside of that, the Marlins have been massively outshined by their opposition this season. Ultimately our baseball analysis suggests this will be a much needed bounceback win for the Giants, who are still looking to get back to a neutral record this season.
